One man has multiple charges after a tip led Airdrie RCMP to the discovery of a stolen pick-up truck and skid steer in the Superstore parking lot.

According to Airdrie RCMP, a concerned citizen provided them with information regarding a potentially stolen skid steer at Superstore.

Upon arrival, RCMP conducted a traffic stop that led to further discovering the pick-up truck, a 2015 Ford F-350, that was pulling the flat deck trailer holding the skid steer had also been stolen.

The two vehicles have since been seized; the pick-up truck had been stolen out of Drayton Valley while the skid steer had been stolen from Calgary.

RCMP said the lone occupant of the truck has been charged with two counts of stolen property over $5000, uttering forged documents as he produced fraudulent registration and insurance, and trafficking stolen property.

While the name of the accused will not be given out at this time, RCMP estimate the value of the stolen property is $140,000.
