The Know Where to Turn Run presented by Propac is happening this weekend.

Lace up your running shoes and join us for the Nowhere to Turn Run, presented by Propac. I had the pleasure of speaking with Elizabeth Wyczynski, the Community Relations Specialist at Community Links, to get the scoop on this annual event.

The Know Where to Turn Run is an annual event that supports family violence survivors and prevention efforts in the community. Wyczynski explains where the proceeds for the event are used.

"For almost 20 years, we have helped support people in re-establishing their lives after fleeing family violence. We help them make decisions based on their situation. We help them with counselling support and financial support. So this run, this fundraiser helps us maintain those programs."

With races ranging from a 2K kids race to a half marathon, there's something for everyone, whether you're a seasoned runner or just looking for a fun way to spend the day with family and friends. The event will feature activities for all ages, including live music, a BBQ provided by Mr. Mike's, face painting, and more.

If you want to help out a good cause but running or walking isn't your jam, they are always looking for volunteers.

Interested in participating or volunteering? Visit www.knowwheretoturn.ca to register as a participant or volunteer. Registration includes optional fundraising to further support the cause. Registration starts at 8:00 am and the event kicks off at 9:00 a.m. Sunday, at East Lake Park, starting behind Birch High School, with Claire Spencer from Air 106 as your emcee!
