Two teenagers were sent to hospital in critical condition after a roll-over East of Cochrane.

Sgt. Darleen White says around 8 last night, RCMP were called to a single vehicle collision on Hwy. 1, just west of Hwy. 22.

"When members arrived there was witnesses on scene that said the vehicle was traveling at a very high rate of speed," she says. "Then they observed it roll several times in the South ditch."

The 19-year-old male driver was airlifted to hospital by EMS, and the 18 year-old female passenger was taken to hospital via ground ambulance.

Alcohol is suspected to be a factor, but at this point, no charges have been laid.

"Blood was taken at the hospital and it will have to be examined to determine the alcohol concentration if any."

Sgt. White reminds everyone to call 911 if they see someone driving erratically or suspect an impaired driver.
