On Wednesday afternoon, Rocky View County Fire Services announced that they were ending a fire restriction for both east and west Rocky View County.

Permit burning is allowed, but it was underlined to always follow safe burning practices.

"Please note that while the Fire Advisory has been lifted in East and West Rocky View County, there may still be advisories or bans in neighbouring municipalities," Rocky View stated.

Although the County has lifted the restrictions, there are several dozen wildfires across the province. However, the current wildfire danger in the Calgary Forest Area (CFA) remains low.

"Recent widespread snowfall has impacted almost all corners of the area and helped subdue the wildfire danger. More spring-like, warmer conditions are expected this week which will expedite the snow melt. Areas of exposed, dry vegetation will present increased risk over the coming days and weeks," Alberta Wildfire stated on its website.
