Pioneer Acres 53rd Annual Show is taking place this weekend from Friday until Sunday.

The show will be located at Pioneer Acres Museum and will run from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Diana Rowe Volunteer Coordinator for Pioneer Acres explained why this year's show has a little more meaning then usual.

"It is our 40th anniversary on this site. When we moved here 40 years ago, there was nothing here, and now we have a number of buildings and all kinds of stuff."

Pioneer Acres Museum is one of the largest agricultural and industrial history museums in Alberta with a collection of thousands of artifacts.

"During the show, everything comes to life out there."

This year will have all kinds of different things on display, including some new trucks that have been donated, and the grain academy just to name a few.

"You can see how grain is transported, how it's received at the terminals and how it shipped out to the ports on the West Coast."

Of course, there will be plenty of kids' activities throughout the day. If you do get hungry, there will be a concession stand as well.

The admission for a family with up to four youths is $30. Adults are $15, seniors are $12, children under 16 are $9 and anyone under six years old is free.
