No injuries were reported on Sunday after Airdrie fire crews responded to a single-storey house fire in the 100 Block of Mayfair Close SE in the early afternoon hours on January 22.

According to the city, fire crews arrived to find a fire burning on the exterior of a single-storey, residential home.

"Two residents home at the time of the fire safely evacuated the structure before the arrival of the fire department. The blaze had breached the soffit and made its way into the attic of the home. Firefighters were able to quickly bring the fire under control."

The Fire Prevention Bureau attended the scene to conduct their incident investigation.
