Despite rumours circling on social media in several local Airdrie groups, the Airdrie RCMP has stated that there is no evidence to support a firearm having been used in the robbery incident near W.H. Croxford High School last Friday afternoon, on January 13. 

RCMP also added that there is also no evidence of a firearm having been brought to W.H. Croxford High School on Friday. 

According to police, three individuals had been arrested in connection with the robbery that occurred across the street from W.H. Croxford High School. According to police, initial reports indicated that a knife had been involved in the robbery. 

Previously RCMP stated that no injuries were reported, however, one male did in fact sustain minor injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
