According to the city, the duplex fire that occurred in Midtown over the weekend has been deemed non-suspicious by fire investigators. Damages totalled approximately one million dollars.
Both missing pets, a cat and a dog have been located safe.
Previously, it was reported that on Saturday at approximately 6:22 P.M., the fire department responded to a Duplex fire. Though both units were occupied at the time of the call, only one individual was assessed for smoke inhalation and no other injuries were reported.
The Crossfield Fire Department also attended the scene with two apparatus as standby resources. Firefighters remained at the scene on Saturday to put out hot spots.
