A previous frost advisory that was issued for Airdrie and the surrounding areas has ended.

On Friday, Environment and Climate Change Canada issued another weather advisory for frost for Airdrie and the surrounding areas.

"Frost may damage some crops in frost-prone areas. Cover up plants, especially those in frost-prone areas. Take preventative measures to protect frost-sensitive plants and trees," the advisory stated.

Forecasts for the evening indicate that the Airdrie will see a nighttime low of zero with patchy frost. It will be partly cloudy and there is a chance of showers early in the evening. There is also the possibility of strong wind gusts, up to 80 kilometres an hour.
