As the clock ticks its final tock of 2011, we took the opportunity to sit down with our three local leaders of government to find out their thoughts about the year that was.

Be warned, these clips are a little long (5-10 minutes), but give a better idea of what is happening in our world, directly from those in charge of making sure our voices are heard.

It was the first full calendar year in office for Mayor Peter Brown. Many changes hit Airdrie. Brown says he can't pinpoint just one thing the City saw as the most important.

Wildrose MLA Rob Anderson saw change at his level of parliament, change that he thinks is a sign of things to come, locally, and across the Alberta landscape.

None of the three highlighted in this article saw more change than Progressive Conservative MP Blake Richards, who took some big steps in his role this past year. He looks forward to seeing some of the seeds that have been planted bear fruit, making sure Canada becomes a safer enviroment for its population.

AIR 106.1 FM would like to thank all three gentlemen for taking the time out of their schedules to help us with this feature.
