An investigation by Alberta Occupational Health and Safety is underway after an employee died at an RV dealership in Rocky View County, near Balzac, last Wednesday.

"As this is an active investigation, no further information will be provided. It is always tragic when a worker dies on the job," an OHS official said.

Emergency Medical Services (EMS) stated that ambulances attended an incident at a location adjacent to Dwight McLellan Trail and Crosspointe Road on Wednesday, January 31 shortly after 10:30 a.m.

"An adult in life-threatening condition was transported to hospital," EMS stated.

RCMP also confirmed that they responded to the scene, along with other emergency services. According to police, the individual was taken to the hospital and was later pronounced dead. Police said that the incident was deemed a workplace incident and non-criminal.
