A Red Deer man, recently released from prison, is facing a long list of charges following a carjacking incident Thursday. Airdrie RCMP got a call just before 2 p.m. about a dangerous and possibly impaired driver. Police later learned the car he was driving had run out of gas and he hitched a ride with a passing motorist. The guy robbed the Good Samaritan of his vehicle and wallet before driving away. The victim called 911.

The hitchhiker turned into Airdrie, where RCMP just happened to be conducting a checkstop. William Clayton Bradshaw had only been out of jail for 12 days and now faces a dozen charges. The Good Samaritan was not injured.
