A Food Truck Frenzy will take over the Airdrie Farmers' Market this afternoon (July 26), and it won't only be a chance to get some great food, but also to give food to those in our community that need it.

The Airdrie Food Bank will be holding a food donation at the Food Truck Frenzy in order to collect non-perishable donations.

"Right now we are completely out of canned fruit, so it would be great if it could bring in some canned fruit for us," said Quinn Donaldson, General Manager of the Airdrie Food Bank. "As well as meal kit type things. Taco kits, Hamburger Helper, those types of things are both items that we're very low on right now."

Donaldson said that items like peanut butter and jam are also items that are always in need. There is an easy way to find out what items are most needed by the Airdrie Food Bank if you plan on taking a donation.

"Whenever people are wondering what we need, we update weekly on our website our most needed list. It's right there on the main page of our website where it says 'Most Needed', you can take a look there and it will tell you what we're out of and what we're running low on."
