Excited by new premier Alison Redford's recent announcement of a pledge to return $107 million in funding cuts to Alberta schools, school boards around the province are deciding where the money would most benefit students.

The Alberta School Boards Association President, Jacquie Hansen, says Redford delivered quickly on her promise.

Hansen says the School Boards Association will have ongoing conversations with both Premier Redford and new Education Minister Thomas Lukaszuk about sustaining their budget so they can continue to give Alberta kids a leading edge education.
