Very recently I got into a discussion with a friend with two young boys about swearing around children.

Parenting is not an easy task and many parents have different styles than others, focusing on different values and goals they want to instill into their children.

There is one argument that many parents have faced during parenthood, using curse words around their kids.

Are you comfortable using swears around your children? or others swearing around them?

We all have that one family member or friend that tends to swear more frequently than others or that person could be yourself. There are many "studies" on the internet that seem to give convoluted results with some saying it damages children's speech and thought process while others claim it has no effect on the social development of children at all.

Does your idea of the acceptability of swearing around children change with their age or is it something that you find morally wrong?
