The Airdrie Chamber of Commerce hosted their Annual Christmas Chamber Luncheon.

The luncheon was focused on celebrating the good things that happened over 2021.

Marilyne Aalhus, Executive Director for the Airdrie Chamber of Commerce, was excited to see so many people back in person.

“It was a day to celebrate and come together over the holiday season. We had a sold-out crowd at Woodside Golf Course. It was just so amazing to see people in-person celebrating the holidays and really just focusing on the highlights of 2021.”

Aalhus continued on, “We had a wonderful speaker, Myles Hamilton, who is actually born and raised here in Airdrie and went on to do amazing things in his career. He came to inspire our business community.”

Hamilton has worked with some large businesses over his career and built them into some of the brands that we all know, like PepsiCo foods.

“He helped us relate to what it takes to build a business and how to persevere through, obviously, some challenging times.”

Aalhus says it was inspiring to see the community come together, network, and have the opportunity to enjoy one another's company.

“2021 was an interesting year, our chamber is extremely proud of all the events that we were still managing to put on throughout the year, including, of course, the golf tournament and the Business Awards. I think what we're proudest of is our business community.”

Aalhus looks forward to more events in the years to come as they continue to offer them and encourage the business community to stay active and support one another.

The Chamber Market still has some awesome prices left to win.

“Any resident who shops between now and the 17th for over $20 on the platform will be entered to win a $500 Heart Airdrie gift card to the Chamber Market. We're also giving away five of those gift cards so the odds of winning are going to be awesome,” says Aalhus.
