Early bird tickets are now on sale for this year's Airdrie Health Foundation Gala which is taking place on September 16 at the Town and Country Centre.

Michelle Bates, Executive Director of the Airdrie Health Foundation explained that the theme of this gala is Ilumina la Noche (light up the night), which is the 10th annual gala.

"We're going to transport you into an outdoor Spanish market; there's going to be Spanish-inspired dance numbers, Spanish wine tasting, we're looking at getting the casino again because that's always a big hit and of course, there'll be dancing."

With this being their 10th gala, When asked about how it felt to come so far about the foundation, Bates reminisced about the first time they ever did the gala.

"Our first Gala was really just to get our name out, it was located at the newly built (at the time) Chinook Winds Fire Station. It was a great evening, we raised $89,000 that night. Over the years, we have been trying to live up to what that first Gala was, in terms of presentation and entertainment."

The gala is the largest fundraiser for Airdrie Health Foundation every year. Bates hopes to see plenty of Airdronians attend the event.

"Purchase your tickets early before the early bird ends, and we hope to see a sold-out crowd again."

Last year's gala raised around $90,000.
