Airdrie's Right for Your Business Voucher Program offers up to $2,000 in financial aid.

The pilot project was launched in the hopes it can help businesses survive during the COVID-19 pandemic and help them pay for critical advisors and business professionals to help.

Rebecca Nielsen an officer with the city of Airdrie's Economic Development said they want to help these businesses move in a more positive direction.

"We recognized that this has been a really, really difficult time for businesses and because they are under this tremendous amount of strain we wanted to put this program together to provide some hope and financial assistance."

Any business located within Airdrie's city limits, that has been impacted by public health restrictions and has an Airdrie business licence can apply.

Storefront businesses are eligible for the full amount but home-based businesses while still eligible, aren’t subject to the same expenses as storefront businesses (lease payments, employees etc.) so they have been allotted less budget per business. Economic Development says they will work with each business on a case-by-case basis to determine what their most immediate needs are and how they can be helped.

"It could be used for a whole host of things really dependant on what that business needs, so it might be financial advice, it could be help with understanding marketing for your business or IT support."

To apply for the free program go here and Airdrie Economic Development will schedule your needs assessment once they have received your application said, Nielsen.
