The City of Airdrie has closed City Hall until further notice.

It’s another step in the city’s efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Residents are encouraged to use the city’s online services for business transactions. Staff in all departments are still available to answer questions and provide assistance over the phone (403.948.8800) or by email.

There are several other closures in the city as a result of the virus.

  • All playground structures (including those located in schoolyards)
  • City Hall
  • All City Park washrooms
  • Airdrie Public Library
  • Genesis Place
  • Recycle Depot (The Waste Transfer Site remains open at this time.)
  • Public Works
  • Arenas (Genesis Place Twin Arena, Rob Ebbesen, Plainsmen)
  • Bert Church LIVE Theatre
  • Town and Country Centre
  • Municipal Enforcement - limited access
  • RCMP Reception - limited access
  • Licensing
  • All Fire Stations

The city is also reminding residents that while the recycling depot is closed, not to put additional recycling next to their blue carts or leave it outside the Depot fence. Instead, residents are asked to continue using the blue cart for weekly collection or hold onto the excess recycling until the Depot reopens.
