Starting in May, the province will be host to another film production, with a star-studded cast and crew. The film that is set to be produced in the province, titled The Order will star Jude Law (Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore) and Nicholas Hoult, who most recently starred in black-comedy horror, The Menu.

The film is based on the book, The Silent Brotherhood, written by award-winning journalist Kevin Flynn and co-author Gary Gerhardt. The book chronicles the inner workings of one of the most dangerous domestic terror groups in the United States, named The Silent Brotherhood.

Oscar-nominated American screenwriter Zach Baylin wrote the screenplay for the upcoming Alberta-shot movie. Director Justin Kurzel, who directed Assassin's Creed and Macbeth starring Michael Fassbender, will be directing the thriller.

The film is set in the early 1980s, following a series of violent bank robberies across America's Pacific Northwest, which leave law enforcement struggling to pin down the suspects. An F.B.I agent (Law) who works out of the bucolic town of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho begins to suspect that the bank heists are not for financial gain, but are carried out by a group of domestic terrorists, and are being inspired by a cult-like captivating leader (Hoult).

CAA Media Finance and UTA Independent Film Group are co-representing North America. There is no word yet on what the specific locations in Alberta will be.
