An Airdrie teenager has received multiple charges for dangerous driving.

According to Airdrie RCMP, the 16 year old was first involved in an incident on February 6 at W.H. Croxford High School. Surveillance footage showed the teenager drove his truck into a fellow student in the school's parking lot around lunch time. Cst. Jennifer Weedmark said the driver intentionally struck his peer, although the police do not believe there was malicious intent behind the incident. The othe student only sustained minor injuries. Charges were laid against the driver on February 28.

The following week, the same youth was arrested and charged for similar driving. On the night of February 17, a witness reported that the teen was speeding excessively, stunting and slamming into snow banks in the Prairie Springs neighbourhood. The driver eventually collided his truck with another vehicle and almost hit a house when he came to a stop on a residential property. The teen was arrested and charged that night.
