UPDATE: After an incredible response from the community, Easton will be able to purchase his custom BMX bike.

However, this selfless young lad plans to donate any amount over and above what he needs for the bike to the Alberta Children's Hospital.

He is set up today (Friday) near the Coopers Crescent playground until 5 p.m.

ORIGINAL STORY:

A young Airdrie entrepreneur has set up his own little business in Coopers Crossing in hopes of raising enough money to buy a BMX bike.

But it's not just any BMX bike Easton Grant is saving up for. The (almost) 12-year-old was born without quad muscles so he will need a custom bicycle with some modifications.

"They're like $700," he says, so he decided to set up shop near the Coopers Crescent playground. The budding businessman is selling iced tea, pop, and chips.

Despite being in a wheelchair his whole life, this positive young man says he doesn't find anything too challenging and says business has been good this week.

His determination and friendly demeanor has certainly made his endeavour quite a success so far.

One family who lives nearby came to support Grant's business Thursday afternoon and tipped the young man $15 as a way to help him reach his goal. Some people on social media have also offered to help out.

Easton isn't sure how long it will take to save the money he needs for the bike, but he enjoys working at his stand especially when the sun is shining.

He'll be set up today (Thursday) until 5 p.m. and again Friday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.
