Following an investigation and an arrest made by the Airdrie based Southern Alberta Crime Reduction Team (SACRT), the RCMP have released the names of two suspects who were charged in the incident.

SCART arrested 19-year-old Dustin Jackson of Linden, Alberta without incident and released him on a Promise to Appear in Airdrie Provincial Court on May 3rd.  He faces charges of break, enter and commit an offence (x2).

A second suspect in the case, 29-year-old Matthew Jay Toews who is also from Linden has been identified.  His whereabouts are unknown and the RCMP have sought a warrant for his arrest in the first instance.  He faces the same charges as Jackson.

Brad White, the Sergeant in charge of the SACRT says, "It would be a good idea for Toews to turn himself into the RCMP.  If anyone knows of Toew's Whereabouts, please contact the Beiseker RCMP at 403 947-3420.

The charges stem from a pair of thefts.  A tractor was taken from a farm near Irricana on March 11th and on March 18th a picker truck was taken from a concrete firm in Acme.

Tips from the public indicated the same person took both pieces of equipment.  Beiseker RCMP, the SACRT based in Airdrie, and Southern Alberta Auto Theft combined their resources to investigate.

On March 20th, SACRT members located the suspect and recovered the truck in Rosetown, Saskatchewan.  The tractor was later recovered in Alsask.
