Airdrie Rural RCMP are investigating a tragic accident last night (June 1st) in Delacour.

Airdrie Detachment Commander Sergeant Kimberley Pasloske explains that, around 6:30 pm, they received a 911 call saying that a three year old boy had been located unconcious in an above ground pool.  "A family member pulled the boy out of the water and got medical assistance.  The little boy was STAR Ambulance lifted out to Alberta Children's Hospital and he's currently in very critical condition."

Sergeant Pasloske says Airdrie Rural RCMP have been conducting a thorough investigation into the incident.  "At this time I can tell you that there is absolutely no foul play suspected or any criminal responsibility."

Pasloske says an accident such as this hits home for everyone.  "A tragedy like this impacts everyone.  It affects everyone who hears about it but specifically in a community like Delacour my advice is to get together and support the family in any way you can."
