If you planned on taking the little ones swimming this weekend, you may be disappointed.

According to the City of Airdrie's twitter account, the tot pool at Genesis Place will be closed over the weekend.

The closure is due to a contamination in the pool. Genesis Place has sent water samples to a health lab, and could reopen once the samples come back from testing. However, that might not be until Tuesday.

The rest of the aquatic centre will remain open and is safe for swimming, as the tot pool is its own seperate entity.
