On Thursday, October 20, the LAV III monument was official delivered and put into it's permanent new home at the Airdrie Museum.

There was a small hold up at the US boarder due to getting the paperwork signed off but once it was release it was delivered within 5 day.

Yvonne Young, Media Relations with Airdrie Legion 288, said that now that the LAV has arrived, there will be a celebration to honour the veterans and everyone involved.

"We are having a dedication ceremony for the LAV III monument on Sunday, November the 6th, at 1pm on the Nose Creek Museum grounds."

Young said a representative from all three levels of government will be in attendance to celebrate the first western LAV III monument in Canada.
