Those who took a test drive through Davis Chevrolete at W.H. Croxford on Saturday, October 29, did so for a good cause.

The Buick Test Drive Event had its second annual fundraiser at W.H. Croxford with both Buicks and GMC's available for test driving.

"What we're doing is getting people to come in and do a short 3-minute test drive to raise money for the school. Each test drive generates $20 from Buick and GMC to the school," said Glenn Smaha, General Manager of Davis Chevrolet.

The money raised goes towards various programs within W.H. Croxford.

"This is our largest and primary fundraiser for the school. Davis has been amazing to come and provide this to our students," said Terry Fink, school secretary.

Fink added the event last year enabled the school to bring in guest speakers and some new programs.

"Last year, we were able to bring guest speakers, we were able to put on a celebration at the end of the school year. Bring in bumper soccer and a bunch of activities like that, that students wouldn't otherwise get to do," she said.

Students also volunteered their time for the event.
