Two people are facing charges after a robbery at Solo Liquor store in Cochrane.

Cochrane RCMP said that on Tuesday, June 21, they responded to a call of a robbery at the liquor store where a male entered the store, filled a shopping basket with alcohol, and attempted to leave the store.

An employee of Solo Liquor confronted the suspect who then assaulted the employee and threatened to produce a weapon, before fleeing the store in a vehicle.

Cochrane RCMP and the Cochrane RCMP General Investigation Section were able to identify the suspect and vehicle.

On June 22, Calgary Police Service located the male suspect and female accomplice and laid charges without incident. Bradley Mckinnon, 24, of Calgary, and 18 year old, Jaylie Vanlierop also of Calgary, are charged with robbery and possession of a break in instrument.

Mckinnon has been remanded until June 27 pending his court appearance and Vanlierop has been released and will face court on July 19.
