The Supplies 4 Success program is back for another year.

The program helps Airdrie and Rocky View County students in need acquire the supplies they need to succeed in school. Such items include backpacks, binders, pencils and rulers.

The program is asking the communities help in reaching these goals, the program is looking at supplying 350 backpacks to those in need this year.

Meagen Butt with Community Links says the need for this program is continuing to grow.

"In 2013 we gave out 235 backpacks, the program is getting bigger and that means there is quite a bit more need in our community."

New to the program this year, those who need the program will go through a screening process to ensure they are in need.

"In order to be eligible for the program clients will need to go through the screening program. Screening will take place between July 30th and August 24th."

The screening process requires clients to bring in identification for all family members, their 2017 notice of assessment and a bank statement.

Community Links is partnering with Davis Chev to help raise money for the program.

The event takes place at the Staples parking lot on August 8th,15th and 22nd.

For every test drive, Davis Chevrolet will be donating $20 dollars towards the program.

Community links will also be on site handing out food and prizes.
