Police in Strathmore are looking for the public's help in solving a hit and run that sent a thirteen year old girl to hospital in the hamlet of Langdon back in mid-February.

On February 17, two teenage girls were walking on the side of a Langdon street when a truck struck one and flung her into the ditch. The girl sustained serious injuries and was air lifted to hospital by STARS air ambulance.

Shortly after the collision, a witness saw a vehicle matching the description of the truck stuck in a ditch on Highway 24 about ten kilometers south of Highway 1. The witness said the driver appeared frantic, trying  to get the truck unstuck. Once the truck was free, it drove north towards Highway 1.

Almost a month later, the girl is still recovering from her injuries and the driver has not come forward.

The truck is described as a full sized dark blue older Dodge half ton, possibly from the early 90's. It had a headache rack covering the back window, and a toolbox and red slip tank in the bed.
