The Village of Beiseker has declared a local state of emergency due to overland flooding.

Jo Lambert, with the Village, said no residents have been forced from their homes as a result of the floods, but they are being asked to be cautious with the water levels.

Lambert says, that the melting snow has overflowed their drainage canals and even caused backups in their sewer systems.

The Village has been setting up burms to restrict any further flooding and doing their best to pump water out.
