The final weekend at the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth has barely started and already organizers have something to celebrate.

Yesterday (July 13) on Day Eight of the Calgary Stampede they welcomed their one-millionth visitor to the grounds.  In fact, a total of 124,853 passed through the turnstiles yesterday, bringing the cumulative total to 1,006,337 for 2018.  That total is 45,490 more than the same time last year.

Highlights at the Stampede today include cowboys trying to qualify for tomorrow's big money finale of the rodeo on Wildcard Saturday at 1:15 pm.

The Adult Pow Wow Competition goes from 3:00 to 6:00 pm at the Indian Village.   The finals of the Stampede Talent Search are on at 6:30 pm in the Boyce Pavilion and country star Luke Bryan takes to the stage of the Saddledome tonight at 9:15 pm.
