Gas prices in Airdrie are trending pretty normally according to the people who watch such things, GasBuddy.com.

The gas price watchdog says the average price of around 113.4 cents per litre (c/L) in Airdrie is slightly more than the Alberta average and slightly less than the national average.

The average price in Alberta this week is 109.8 c/L while nationally it's at 116.3 c/L.

Now, if you feel like you're paying quite a bit more for a litre of gas than you did one year ago, you're absolutely right.

GasBuddy says that prices in Alberta are 16.1 c/L higher in 2018 than in 2017.  The average price nationally has risen 11.1 c/L.

Just to let you know, gas prices in another producing province, just east of us (Saskatchewan) sit at around 105.4 c/L.

Of course, you'd have to go to Saskatchewan to take advantage of those prices, and....well.

Just kidding, you former Saskatchewanians!
