The Airdrie Food Bank hosted its annual Shamrock Shimmy over the weekend.

Over 250 people attended this year’s event raising $26,000.

Christine Taylor, the communications manager for the Food Bank said they are grateful for the continued community support.

"We would not be here if it weren’t for the generous donations of our partners, our sponsors and also just the auction donations from individuals,” Taylor said.

It’s one of the Food Banks’s largest fundraisers of the year and keeps their many programs going.

“We’re just thankful that we’re able to help our community and we do that because our community cares so much,” said Taylor.
