It's a case of the domino effect in the three leadership appointments made by Superintendent Greg Luterbach of the Rocky View School Division.

One promotion has led to another and then to another for the three men involved.

David Smith is currently the Principal of Airdrie's C.W. Perry School and has been appointed the Divisional Principal for Technology.  The new role will help RVS leverage technology and data to improve student learning and administrative functions throughout the division.

Smith brings 19 years experience in the education field with him, including 11 as an administrator at multiple grade levels.

That appointment left an opening at C.W. Perry which Luterbach filled by appointing Rob Kimura as the new Principal.  Kimura has spent the past 13 years at Bow Valley High School in Cochrane, the last eight of them as Principal.

The open Principal spot at Bow Valley will be filled by Jim Reilly who takes over as Acting Principal.

Reilly will move out of his current role as the Assistant Principal of George McDougall High School in Airdrie.

Luterbach said, "On behalf of RVS, I extend my congratulations to these administrators on their new assignments.  I am confident they will continue to serve their new schools and the jurisdiction well."

All three appointments take effect in August 2018.
