Wildrose Leader Brian Jean addressed a full house crowd at Apple Creek Golfcouse Friday, July 15th.

As part of the 'On Your Side' town hall series, Jean shared his vision for the party along with moderated policy discussions.

"We have seen some very strange times in the last 18 months here in this province, politically it's unbelievable." said Jean.

Jean was greeted with applause and praise, as he covered everything from the state of the economy to enviromental stewardship.

Perhaps the evenings biggest theme was the 'unite the right' talks, which has had everyone talking since Alberta Conservative MP Jason Kenney announced he will be seeking the leadership of Alberta’s Progressive Conservative party last week.

"They have not decided where they stand or who they stand for, and that's why it's very important to let them have that decision before we move forward in consolidating the conservatives or having conversations, because if they are not moving in the direction our membership is, then they are not welcome in the Wildrose Conservative movement." said Jean.

The audience was encouraged to take part in a survey, which aims to build the platform for the Wildrose moving forward, as they plan to take on the current NDP government.

Angela Pitt and other fellow Wildrose MLAs were in attendance, as well as Mayor Peter Brown and various members of the community.

“Wildrose remains focused on building on our tremendous momentum and bringing together all common sense conservatives into one party,” Jean said. “I can’t wait to meet face to face with members, supporters and all Albertans curious about Wildrose and the future of our province.”

Next stop on the tour is Red Deer Wednesday, July 20th, with further dates and locations being announced over the summer.
