The temperature has gone up, and so has the amount of road work being done in Airdrie.

Centre Avenue reopened around noon today (May 5) after being closed for multiple days. City crews were attending to a fire hydrant, but that project was delayed after a gas leak in the area. Crews got back to work this morning, pouring a curb, and are expected to be back in the area on Monday to fix up the road. That could result in another closure next week.

A section of East Lake Crescent from the north entrance of the Shell station to the south entrance of Davis Chevrolet will remain closed today until 3:00pm. Crews were attending to a water valve repair yesterday (May 4), and have the road closed today to repave the area.

There are still some lane closures expected until tomorrow near the Cooperstown Plaza, as crews lay shallow utilities. Some lanes will remain open to allow traffic through.
