For the third consecutive year, Banff-Airdrie Member of Parliament Blake Richards has been named the Best Constituency MP in The Hill Times 24th Annual Politically Savvy Survey.

The MP was also named in the Hardest Working MP category, which he previously won in 2014 and 2015.

Richards says he's humbled by the recognitions.

"Anytime you're recognized for the hard work that you do, you feel good," he says. "It's a job that I love to do. I consider it a real privilege to be able to represent, and be able to meet all of my fellow citizens."

Richards was elected in 2008 and again in 2011 in the electoral district of Wild Rose. He was re-elected in 2015 as the Member of Parliament for Banff-Airdrie, and has been serving the area since. He says his favourite part of the job is the constituency he works for.

"Without a doubt it's the great people I get to represent, I know that sounds like 'flowery words' I suppose, but it's the truth. It's such a wonderful constituency full of great people, to be able to have the honour of representing our area in Parliament has been best part of the job."

He adds he's always had the constituents view in mind, consulting with them often.

"That's what I've always focused on...I guess a few people have noticed that I take that seriously."

Richards would like to thank his staff in his MP Office, political team, volunteers, and constituents.
