The change in weather has brought some relief for those dealing with the Kenow wildfire.

Much needed rain has helped firefighters battling the blaze and even lifted some of the evacuation orders.

Today (September 14th) parts of the MD of Pincher Creek rescinded their evacuation orders, as did Cardston County and the Blood Tribe.

There are still evacuations orders in place from Oil Basin Road to Waterton and Castle Mountain Resort.

Earlier today Parks Canada said that the blaze is covering around 44,000 hectares but isn't posing an immediate risk to the Town of Waterton.

You can find updates on the emergency situation and evacuation alerts from Alberta Emergency Alert.
