Airdrie RCMP is searching for two suspects who stole from a parkade at an apartment building last week.

On May 31st, RCMP said two men entered the Edge Apartments on East Lake Boulevard.

“The two males were able to gain access by buzzing into one of the tenants unbeknownst to them,” said Cst. Dan Martin. “They then proceeded to the downstairs underground parkade, opened the door and drove in.”

Cst. Martin said that the pair stole a license plate, a compound bow and a Ford Escape before driving away from the parkade.

RCMP admit that they have received similar calls in the past year, which can easily be prevented.

“They say locks only keep out the honest people. We have to make sure that everyone is taking measures to secure their premises. These people were able to trick a tenant into letting them in by just getting buzzed in. The tenant didn’t even know who they were letting in.”

Police have released these details on the two suspects.
