An update to the closure.

Both lanes have reopened and RCMP has cleared the scene. Eastbound traffic is still being affected. The drivers of both vehicles sustained minor injuries and the Cochrane RCMP ask anyone who witnessed the collision to please step forward.

At around 2 a.m. on February 7, RCMP reported a Highway 1 closure.

Highway 1 was closed eastbound at Sibbald Creek Trail due to a collision between two tractor trailers, resulting in a large amount of debris on the road. RCMP confirmed around 6:30 this morning that the eastbound lanes are still closed and drivers should plan an alternate route.
