The Airdrie RCMP is investigating a residential break and enter that happened on Mountain Circle in Airdrie a couple of weeks ago, and they're asking for public help from anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity.

Constable Dan Martin says the incident took place on the afternoon of March 12th.  RCMP were alerted to the break and enter on Mountainview Circle in the Meadowbrook area.

"The homeowners had only stepped out of the home for a few hours and this break and enter took place during the day.  We're just reaching out the public in hopes that somebody may have seen somebody suspicious in the area."

Martin says when the owners returned to their home they noticed the back door had been kicked in.  The RCMP think whoever did it had a fair amount of time in the home.

"He made a very big mess.  Several of the drawers were pulled out in the home and he took off with quite a significant amount of jewelry, collector coins, coins, some cash, watches, that type of thing."

If you have information about this incident you're asked to call the Airdrie RCMP at 403 945-7200 or, if you want to stay anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
