A string of car prowlings has Airdrie RCMP searching for two suspects who were seen looking through vehicles in Cooper’s Crossing.

Last Wednesday (May 23rd) a man and woman were caught on video, prowling through a vehicle in that neighbourhood.

“Two videos were observed on a home surveillance rummaging through vehicles in Cooper’s Square,” says Cst. Dan Martin, “Airdrie RCMP have released four photographs showing the suspects rummaging through the vehicle.”

Cst. Martin says that the pair were likely involved in other mischievous acts that morning.

“There was a string of car prowlings in the Cooper’s area that night, including some neighbours to that address. This is one of the houses that was able to get some clear photos of the suspects and hopefully we can identify them and look at other charges with regards to some other incidents that night.”

With spring finally here and no one running their vehicles to warm up, you would think that car prowlings or thefts wouldn’t be much of an issue. However, Cst. Martin says that the issue doesn’t change with the seasons.

“I’d like to think that people are getting better at locking up their valuables and locking up their cars. The summer month, kids and young adults are out late and maybe getting into mischief. We’re not seeing an increase or decrease in car prowlings.”

RCMP have released the photos of the man and woman in the Cooper’s Square car prowlings and you’re asked to contact Airdrie RCMP if you recognize them.
