On Tuesday, September 27, a mother was preparing to put her child in a stroller at the Cochrane Walmart when a vehicle struck her car and the stroller.

Cochrane RCMP were called at 12:50 p.m. after the driver neglected to stop and exchange information.

Police said that the mother made eye contact with the female driver and tried to motion for her to stop but the driver quickly fled the scene.

The driver appeared to be a female in her 50's – 60's with dirty blond hair and glasses, driving a dark colour Jeep Patriot with no licence plate.

The RCMP said that the Jeep had nothing distinguishable about it, but when it left, the driver headed towards the Source in the Quarry.
