On April 17, Cochrane RCMP received a report from a young person that had been offered a ride from an unknown person in the area of Quigley Drive around 5 pm. When the youth said 'no' to the ride, the suspect said: "come on, you can get it." The youth ran home and told his parents of the incident. The approximately 40-year-old male suspect's vehicle was described as a dark-coloured Buick car. The driver is said to be Caucasian with a dark beard, heavy set, wearing a Philadelphia Flyers hat.

The second incident occurred on April 18 at roughly 6 pm when a youth was approached by a male in the McDonalds parking lot. The male suspect, described as 40-50 years old with a scruffy beard said to the boy, "I have some loose change in the back of my truck, can you jump in and get it for me?" The boy responded "no" and walked away. The male suspect was in a black truck and had a black and ginger coloured dog with him.

RCMP are asking all residents to be on the lookout for suspicious activity and to keep an eye on youth in their respective neighbourhoods.

If you recognize the suspect or have any details about these two incidents, you are asked to contact the Cochrane detachment at 403-851-8000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
