The RCMP's Crime Reduction Unit arrested four people on Tuesday night (February 27) following a routine patrol along Gateway Drive.

Cst. Dan Martin of the Airdrie RCMP explained what police found during their patrol that night.

"They came across a vehicle that was parked behind a building. They approached the vehicle on foot and were able to observe some drugs. All four occupants were arrested on scene and subsequent to a search some cocaine and marijuana was seized."

Two adult men along with a male and female youth were arrested and face charges of drug possession. Their names are not being released.

Cst. Martin hopes that when it comes to suspicious activity in the city, that the community will let them know.

"These types of calls of suspicious vehicles and persons and what not, assist the Airdrie RCMP in acting on some crime and obviously helps with crime reduction."
