Multiple break and enter and thefts occurred within Rocky View County over the past week.

According to RCMP, between August 17 and August 26, multiple calls of break, enter and thefts were brought to the attention of the Strathmore RCMP.

Fuel, tools and copper wire were some of the items that were stolen.

Strathmore RCMP, Strathmore General Investigative Section and the Calgary Police Service Break and Enter Unit worked together on the investigation.

On August 28, 2016, 46-year-old Donald Macaulay, of Calgary, was arrested.

He faces multiple charges including four counts of break and enter and commit theft, two counts of Possession of Stolen Property under $5000, Possession of Stolen Property over $5000, Possession of break in tools, theft, and mischief.

RCMP said he has an extensive criminal record and has been remanded into custody.

He is scheduled to appear in court on Friday, September 2nd.
