The Alberta and Canadian Governments are shelling out millions of dollars to build and upgrade roads and highways.

Federal Minister of Infrastructure Amarjeet Sohi and Provincial Transportation Minister Brian Mason made the announcement on April 20th giving out $535 Million to almost 100 projects in the Province.

A few roads outside of Airdrie and Cochrane will be part of the rehabilitation projects along with a part of Highway 2 north of Didsbury.

Nearly 20 kilometres of road will receive new paving between Highway 567 and Highway 574 approaching Madden.

Highway 766 is also on the list, with paving taking place on the road between Highway 1A and Highway 567.

Rocky View County will also see two bridges getting renovations, as crews will soon tackle the bridge on Highway 563 west of Calgary and the Elbow River Bridge on Highway 22.

There's no word yet on when these projects will start.
