Mingma Sherpa, the new owner of Jet Wash Auto Spa got an alarming phone call from his security company early Sunday morning.

Airdrie RCMP were dispatched to the business, responding to the break and enter.

"The Officer came, the burglar closed my entrance door, he put the screw driver in and nobody can get in."

Sherpa said that footage from his security camera showed a white male in his late 20's to early 30's, in a newer white Jeep.

"The Officer came into the shop through the man door; she saw the burglar trying to take the change machines out and the officer went back out, as soon as he saw that the officer went back out he jumped into the Jeep and he drove through my exit door without the door opening."

While the Jeep was exiting the building, Sherpa said the driver narrowly missed hitting the RCMP officer before taking off.

RCMP were unable to apprehend the male at the scene, and are currently looking for information to identify the suspect.
