A joint investigation with the RCMP and Ontario Provincial Police has helped catch a serial robber.

Last month, Airdrie RCMP responded to two armed robberies that occurred in the same day at a pharmacies in Airdrie and Crossfield.

The same robber then targeted stores in Black Diamond and Bragg Creek on March 30th.

While the RCMP were investigating those incidents, Ontario Provincial Police were also looking into 14 similar robberies from across the Ontario.

A joint investigation later found the robberies were carried out by the same man, 34 year old Dustin Robinson, formerly from Ontario and residing in Calgary.

Police later found and arrested Robinson, charging him with 4 counts of robbery. Robinson is also facing 24 additional charges from Ontario relating to the armed robberies there.
